Tombstone Tuesday, Olliver H. Williams
Olliver H. Williams was born April 18, 1800 in Connecticut to parents Oliver and Mary Williams.
He married Mehetable W. b 1810, and later settled in the town of Vernon, Aurora County New York. Here, children Mary E., Emily L., Morgan P., John A. and Joseph A. all born in New York, resided with their parents, Olliver and Mehetable.
The family was moved to Ravenna, Michigan to 160 acres in the SE corner of Ravenna Township on section 35, also known as Six Corners. Oliver first appears on the tax assessment roll for this property in 1857.
Olliver died on November 30, 1868 at 68 years, 7 months and 13 days of age. He is buried in the old section of the Ravenna Cemetery along with his wife and several family members.
