Thanks for the plug...

Ravenna History Computer Blog Established
By Larry Darcy

The Ravenna Historical Society,in conjunction with the Ravenna Area Historical Museum, now has a computer blog. My kids weren’t available to tell me the difference between a blog and a website. Anyway, Holly Spencer has started a very impressive blog at http://Ravennahistory.blogspot.com
This site has some very nice pictures from early Ravenna days and articles about the pictures. Future bloggers are welcome as well as any historical information. Just log on to the web site. Thank you Holly for helping advance Ravenna into the computer generation.
The historical museum contains yearbooks, many pictures and articles, plat maps, tax assessments 1883-1933, transcribed assessments 1849-1871, Ravenna Times 1951-1974, cemetery books, area death records and much more.
The museum is still accepting old uniforms, yearbooks, sports equipment, etc. as we also have a need for mannequins, padded collar hangers and picture frames of various sizes.

Mike & Mary and Larry,

I appreciate the write up in the paper...The idea for this blog is to get the Historical Society and Museum some attention, in the mean time hopefully give folks something interesting to read about. It is a slow process done in between job and home, but I enjoy it. If anyone would like to see something in particular written about please send me an email [see above]
